We had a follow up class to the “Steps to Healthier Living” presentation. We held a health and cooking class for all to attend. We had about 25-30 people in attendance. Ryan Martin talked about the benefits of circulation and gave some ideas of things you can do on your own, with little to no money, to improve your circulation. We had a great presentation and meal with a Thai theme. You can follow the classes and get copies of the recipes at www.5steps2health.com

We have plans for the garden. We need your help to manage the weeds organically. Send us a message here or visit us at church. Talk to Ryan Martin or Rich Hines to ask how you can help.

Steps to Healthier Living – September 2012
Beginning October 13th, 2012 we are offering five consecutive classes on how to live a healthier lifestyle. This is not a diet class, nor is it all inclusive. We hope to inspire and coach people into healthier habits. There is not one program to fit everyone’s individual needs. These classes will talk about why to change your lifestyle, in a sentence, Don’t just live longer… live better. Equip your kitchen with the right oils, seasonings and utensils. Discover the trifecta we face in the Standard American Diet (SAD), Sugar, Fat and Salt. We will touch on food sensitivities like gluten, dairy, soy and the effects it can have on you. The benefit of sleep, fresh air and exercise. Then we will conclude with some answers to attendees questions.
Health Ministries – March 2012
This year our health minstries group will be focusing on reaching out into the community and developing our garden project. We have decided this year to go out into the community instead of trying to get the community to come to us. We are planning to get involved with the Newberg Farmers Market to distribute the fresh, organic produce from our garden.
Our goal is to find and meet the needs of the community by really becoming a part of the community. We aspire to reflect the character of Jesus to the people we interact with.
